About the artist:

This mini-album, part of the BoSzArt Plakaty / Posters series dedicated to the Polish School of Posters, showcases the works of Stanisław Wieczorek (born 1943). Wieczorek is a versatile artist, excelling as a painter, draftsman, graphic artist, set designer, and designer. Throughout his creative career, he has been closely associated with the Warsaw branch of the Academy of Fine Arts. Notably, he has served as both vice-dean and dean of the Faculty of Graphics at the academy. Additionally, he held the position of artistic director at the Artistic and Graphic Publishing House from 1969 to 1975, and later served as the artistic director of the bimonthly publication “Projekt” from 1984 to 1992. Stanisław Wieczorek has received numerous accolades and distinctions, including the Minister of Culture and Art Award and the Honorary Badge of “Meritorious for Polish Culture”. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions, both within Poland and abroad.

Minialbum popularnej serii Plakaty, współtworzonej z Akademią Sztuk Pięknych, poświęcony został osobie Stanisława Wieczorka (ur. 1943 r.) – wszechstronnego artysty: malarza, rysownika, grafika, scenografa i projektanta. Od początku swojej pracy twórczej związany jest z warszawskim oddziałem wspomnianej ASP, gdzie wielokrotnie pełnił funkcję prodziekana i dziekana Wydziału Grafiki. Był także kierownikiem artystycznym w Wydawnictwach Artystyczno-Graficznych (1969–1975) i dyrektorem artystycznym dwumiesięcznika „Projekt” (1984–1992). Wielokrotnie doceniany i wyróżniany, m.in. nagrodą Ministra Kultury i Sztuki oraz Honorową Odznaką „Zasłużony dla Kultury Polskiej”, prezentował swoje prace na licznych wystawach zarówno w Polsce, jak i za granicą.
